Samsung Galaxy model archive · 2020
Galaxy S20 FE made Fan Edition an important branch of the modern S family. It combined a flat high-refresh display with selected flagship features, rather than simply reproducing the larger and more expensive S20 Ultra.
Generation at a glance
- 6.5-inch flat Super AMOLED display
- 120Hz refresh rate
- 4,500mAh typical battery capacity
- LTE and 5G editions vary by market
What Fan Edition actually means
FE is a product position, not a promise that every specification matches the main flagship. The sensible comparison is with the alternatives available at the price you are offered. A flat display, camera choices and expandable storage may be more useful to you than the top model’s most ambitious zoom setting. Equally, a later FE launch does not make it a replacement for every member of the original family. Decide which features change your daily use.
Which version is which?
The S20 FE arrived in September 2020, after the main S20 announcement. LTE and 5G editions, regional hardware and later production variants need exact identification. The FE is a separate body, so do not order an S20 case on the assumption it fits. Ask the seller for the model information and compare it with the specification for your country.

Test touch response across the entire screen, all camera views, calls and charging. Inspect the microSD tray and check the battery’s practical endurance rather than relying on its original capacity figure. Refurbished offers should state the condition and warranty clearly. A repair may be perfectly reasonable, but knowing what was replaced is more useful than a vague claim that the handset has been checked.
Before choosing an older phone, check the exact model on Samsung’s current security-update list and confirm local network compatibility.
