Samsung Galaxy model archive · 2025
The 2025 A-series launch brought A56 5G, A36 5G and A26 5G together around everyday use and selected AI features. The three names still represent different hardware choices rather than one phone sold at three prices.

Generation at a glance
- 50MP main cameras across the launch trio
- 5,000mAh typical battery capacity
- A56: Exynos 1580; A36: Snapdragon 6 Gen 3
- 45W charging support on A56 and A36

A shared main-camera resolution does not mean identical photography. Sensors, other lenses, processing and stabilisation can affect what a phone produces. Charging differences also deserve attention: a feature on A56 and A36 should not automatically be assigned to A26. Think about the practical bottleneck in your present phone—battery, storage, speed or camera behaviour—and check whether the model you are considering addresses that particular issue.
Which version is which?
A56 5G, A36 5G and A26 5G were introduced in March 2025. They are separate models with different processors and feature sets. Some advertised editing tools are model-specific; Best Face, for example, was introduced here as an A56 feature. Do not assume the same AI options on every phone simply because the devices appeared in one launch announcement.

Check the exact storage and memory, available local service and warranty. Test the camera, fingerprint reader where fitted and display in the settings you would use. Confirm charging accessories before relying on a headline maximum rate. Compare a newer lower-tier model with an older higher-tier one using battery condition and remaining support as well as speed or camera specifications.
Before choosing an older phone, check the exact model on Samsung’s current security-update list and confirm local network compatibility.
