A shared screen size does not make identical phones

A display specification is one useful comparison, but it cannot settle processing performance, camera choices or the feel of the body. The A-series is worth assessing through the jobs you actually need: messaging, maps, family photos, reading and a few favourite apps. If those tasks work well, a more expensive flagship may bring features you rarely use. If a particular camera or gaming requirement matters, check it directly rather than assuming the higher model number answers everything.

Which version is which?

A55 5G and A35 5G were announced together in March 2024. They are not the same phone with different storage and should not be confused with A54/A34 or the later A56/A36 pair. The A-series number identifies a family position and generation, not a guarantee that all similarly named regional models share every component.

Looking at one today

Try the camera in ordinary indoor light, view text at a comfortable size and test charging and calls. Confirm storage, memory, network support and warranty region on the exact offer. Compare a refurbished A55 with a new A35 on equal terms: battery condition, returns and remaining support can outweigh a small specification advantage.
